Sunlight Christian Academy at Saint Lucie West Celebrates One Year Anniversary
As one of the fastest growing counties in the state of Florida, St. Lucie County has a lot to offer. From businesses and corporations, real estate, and new state of the art schools, it is definitely a place with much appeal. Here at Sunlight Community Church we recognize this growth and want to reach out in a positive way. Shining the light of God's word into the lives of children while educating them in preparation for Kindergarten is our ultimate goal. And we're proud to say our first successful year is coming to a close.
At Sunlight Christian Academy we strive to provide a loving and safe environment in which children can explore God and His world from a distinctively Christian point of life. In today's society our children are exposed to so much at such an early age. We feel it's necessary to constantly remind them of one simple truth, and that is God's love. This truth, combined with our individualized instruction, creates endless possibilities. Experiences are provided that meet each child's needs and stimulate learning in all developmental areas including physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Each child is viewed as a unique person with an individual patter and timing of growth and development. Different levels of ability, development, and learning styles are expected, accepted, and used to design appropriate activities.
Our program is geared toward those families seeking a part-time program to prepare their children for Kindergarten. We offer classes Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 11:30 (and an afternoon class for 4 year olds from 12:30-3:30). An afternoon enrichment program is also offered until 4:30 p.m. The school provides options for a 5-day program, a 3-day program (M,W,F), or a 2-day program (T,Th). Students must be potty trained and 3 years old by September 1 st to enroll. As the new year approaches we have several part-time openings and only a few full-time slots to fill.
We are proud to serve our county by providing our children with the tools they need to succeed. We have many exciting events planned for our second year and look forward to spreading God's love for many years to come.
