Clinic to Fill St. Lucie West Void
Contributed by: Sam Yates Yates & Associates on 7/8/2009

PORT ST. LUCIE, Florida/July 8, 2009 - Physicians Immediate Care, the premier provider of urgent care medicine on the Treasure Coast, has announced plans to open a new walk-in clinic in Saint Lucie West to meet the growing medical needs of that community. The announcement coincides with plans by Martin Memorial Hospital to close its medi-clinic on Northwest St. Lucie West Boulevard and the previous closure of the Saint Lucie Medical Center walk-in clinic. "The closure of the Martin Memorial St. Lucie West Medi-Center, coupled with the Saint Lucie Medical Center clinic closure, leaves a huge void in emergency, walk-in medical care for the community," said Kenneth Palestrant, MD, owner/founder of Physicians Immediate Care. "Opening a new Physicians Immediate Care Clinic in Saint Lucie West will fill that void with a modern, convenient walk-in urgent care center," added Dr. Palestrant.

Dr. Palestrant says until the newest Physicians Immediate Care clinic opens in Saint Lucie West, residents needing immediate, non-life threatening medical care can visit the nearby clinics in southwestern and eastern Port St. Lucie or his clinic in Fort Pierce. "Our Port St. Lucie clinics are located within ten to fifteen minutes of Saint Lucie West and are open seven days a week for the convenience of our patients," he added. "Our newest clinic on US One, south of Midway Road, in Fort Pierce is also available for Saint Lucie West residents who need urgent care," Dr. Palestrant added.

Additional information about the new Physicians Immediate Care walk-in clinic in Saint Lucie West will be announced in the near future. "Our biggest concern right now is providing the same urgent care options for Saint Lucie West residents as we are now providing for their friends and neighbors throughout Saint Lucie and Martin Counties. When our residents need a doctor right now, we are committed to meeting that need," concluded Dr. Palestrant.

Physicians Immediate Care measures its success through patient satisfaction and extraordinary care. Physicians Immediate Care also offers employers professional services for workers compensation, routine exams, and drug testing. Physicians Immediate Care provides a convenient, cost effective alternative to emergency rooms and doctor's offices from offices at 1900 SE Port Saint Lucie Boulevard, 4007 SW Port Saint Lucie Boulevard in the Paar Center, and in Fort Pierce at 5550 South US Highway One. Physicians Immediate Care provides prompt medical attention, with no appointment necessary, Monday through Friday 09:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 09:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. For additional information call (772) 343-1774, or visit their website at www.immedcare.com.
