LOCAL ELKS LODGE TO HOST STATE PRESIDENT

Leonard Smallacombe, a Past Exalted Ruler of West St. Lucie Elks Lodge #2823 and District Vice President of the Florida State Elks Association will host the President of the Florida State Elks Association September 15 and 16, 2006, during his official visit to the Southeast Central District.
Charles Trinowski, Jr., who heads the 70,000 plus member Association, will address Elk members at the local Lodge on Saturday, September 16, 2006. Elks from all Lodges in the districts will be in attendance.
President Trinowski will speak about the state's major projects, Florida Elks Children's Therapy Services and Florida Elks Youth Camp, which provides for children and operates on a combined budget of over $4 million a year. He will also speak about the Elks Drug Awareness Program for students, the Veterans Program, the Elks Scholarship Program, and his slogan for the year, 'Serving Our Community.'
