America's Boating Course - The course will teach basic seamanship, an understanding of navigational aids, items required to be on your boat, trailer and boat handling, the art of tying knots and much more. Professionally trained instructors utilizing the latest in enhanced, visual aids technology will make attendance a truly enjoyable learning experience. Those students who are 21 years old or younger and who successfully complete the course, will have met Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission requirements entitling them to receive a Florida State Boaters License.

A little on VBPS - Vero Beach Power Squadron is a non-profit boating safety education organization. Our goal is to provide safety boating education to the public and our members. The Squadron's organized boating activities are cruises and rendezvous. Any member who has a boat, power or sail, is welcome to participate, and members without are invited to go along as crew with another member. A Boating Activities committee plans these cruises and raft-ups and publicizes them through the local newsletter and membership meetings.

When and Where - In the clubhouse at 301 Acacia Road (near the boat lanching area next to the Barber Bridge). Its from 9 am to 1 pm Saturday and Sunday. Yu may call 978-9769 ahead to preregister or just come to the class. The cost is $30.
