Hooked On Jesus Works For Me!
I am souled out on Jesus, and love to talk with other who are as well. I also love to share the amazing transformation Jesus has made in my life with others who are seeking answers to life's tough questions and just not having any luck with the answers. I don't have all the answers by any stretch, but I do spend a lot of time in the Answer Book. I am concerned about families and the pressures families face every day. I desire to help families not just cope with the challenges of life, but to be victorious over those challenges. Together in Christ, we can overcome those challenges. Join my on the journey of faith. It is one not meant to be taken alone, but rather in community with others seeking the same goal: the best for their families. Knowing the Author of Life is a crucial step in the right direction. Let's enjoy the journey together.

On Friday, December 22, 2006, Abigail Pardue became Mrs. Elliott Blount. The ceremony held in Weeki Wachie, FL, at the Christian Church in the Wildwood was a beautiful affair to say the least. Okay, so I am a little prejudiced.
Elliott and Abi both recently graduated from Florida Christian College with degrees in Music Ministry, and after a brief honeymoon in the Bahamas, they will reside in Kissimmee, FL.
That's the official part. Now, let's get a little more personal. Elliott is our oldest son, and he has always been a focused Dude. As a Kindergarten Kid, his Sunday School teacher declared that Elliott could teach the class as well as the teacher because Elliott knew as much about the Bible as the teacher did. Makes a minister/dad's head swell with pride to hear such things. Elliott has had his fair share of struggles over the years, but his faith in Jesus Christ continues to grow stronger by the day.
He met Abi while attending Florida Christian College. By the time they decided to even consider giving the "dating thing" a try, they knew that they were only interested in a serious relationship with someone who was serious about their relationship with Jesus. Abi is the perfect complement to Elliott. They balance each other out where balance is needed, and they strengthen one another where strength is needed. I can't wait to see what all God has in store for them as a married couple and as a ministry couple!
Our middle child, Ian, served his brother as best man at the wedding. His best man toast drew high praises from FCC's President and from the President's wife. Ian is very much following not just in his brother's footsteps, but in the footsteps of a true follower of Christ, and it is much more than evident. Makes a minister/dad's head swell with pride. Ian is a senior at VBHS this year and plans to head to FCC to major in youth ministry. He will do a fantastic job!
Our youngest, Emily, is a junior at VBHS. Emily has always been a "mother hen" type, and will more than likely go into some form of teaching. Right now she says she wants to teach in an elementary school. Makes a minister/dad's head swell with pride.
And those of you who know me thought only my stomach was swelling, eh?
