Hooked On Jesus Works For Me!
I am souled out on Jesus, and love to talk with other who are as well. I also love to share the amazing transformation Jesus has made in my life with others who are seeking answers to life's tough questions and just not having any luck with the answers. I don't have all the answers by any stretch, but I do spend a lot of time in the Answer Book. I am concerned about families and the pressures families face every day. I desire to help families not just cope with the challenges of life, but to be victorious over those challenges. Together in Christ, we can overcome those challenges. Join my on the journey of faith. It is one not meant to be taken alone, but rather in community with others seeking the same goal: the best for their families. Knowing the Author of Life is a crucial step in the right direction. Let's enjoy the journey together.

The Message paraphrases 2 Corinthians 5:17 thusly:
"Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons!"
As we begin a New Year filled with hopes and dreams of something far better than the year before, let us remember that our hopes and dreams need to be centered in Jesus. Those of us who have surrendered our wills, our lives, our hopes and our dreams to Him have the promise of a life far more abundant than those who hope in temporary stuff. I praise God daily for the difference Jesus makes in my life. Not that things are always easy or that they always go "my way," but that I don't have to go through that stuff alone!
Be God's,
Scott

I'm not generally much of a fan of paraphrases, either. Before using the wording in the paraphrase, I studied this passage in the NASB, KJV, NLT, and NIV translations. Scott

I really enjoyed your thoughts. (Sorry, I'm not much of a fan for paraphrases though.) To know the Lord Jesus does give life a joy only His can share. He gives courage and strength in times of difficulty or peril and knows what we feel for He has felt the same.
