Blog Entry 10 of 11 Hooked On Jesus Works For Me!
I am souled out on Jesus, and love to talk with other who are as well. I also love to share the amazing transformation Jesus has made in my life with others who are seeking answers to life's tough questions and just not having any luck with the answers. I don't have all the answers by any stretch, but I do spend a lot of time in the Answer Book. I am concerned about families and the pressures families face every day. I desire to help families not just cope with the challenges of life, but to be victorious over those challenges. Together in Christ, we can overcome those challenges. Join my on the journey of faith. It is one not meant to be taken alone, but rather in community with others seeking the same goal: the best for their families. Knowing the Author of Life is a crucial step in the right direction. Let's enjoy the journey together.

Pass it on to your kids!

Deuteronomy 6:4-9
4 "Listen, O Israel! The L ord is our God, the L ord alone. 5 And you must love the L ord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. 6 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. 7 Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 8 Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Repetition is a key factor in memorization work. Memorization is a key factor in knowing God's Word. I am not a great memorizer, but I do try to commit God's Word to my heart. I think that if it was important enough for Jesus to know Scripture (and yes, I know He wrote it), then so should I. As I try to grow in my spiritual walk and in my ministry for the Lord Jesus, I need to know God's Word. I have the memory verses from the 40 Days of Purpose taped to a file cabinet by my desk at work, so I can look at the every day. We have Scripture memory verses taped on the mirror in our bathroom at home, so we can be reminded of those verses. It is important to keep the Word in front of you by daily reading, studying, praying, journaling and discussing that Word with others. That's kinda what God says here in this passage, isn't it?
Be God's,
Scott
