From the New Testament portion of the One Year Bible reading:
John 5:24
"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
Eternal life doesn't start when we are resurrected from the grave. Eternal life starts NOW. We who are believers in Jesus ALREADY have eternal life. We've already started living a life of fellowship with the Father, Son & Spirit. Transitions are still to come - separation from this body (death), new bodies, new heavens and new earth, and other things we've not been told; but eternal life? It's already here.
I pray that you will live as one who has "
crossed over
". Please pray that for me.
