From the Old Testament portion of today's One Year Bible reading:
I Samuel 17:45
David replied to the Philistine, "You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven's Armies-the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
If you were a betting man, you wouldn't have put your money on David in this battle against the 9-foot giant Goliath. To all outward appearances it's no contest. The deciding factor, of course, was the "G-Factor", "G" = "God" (get it?). The one thing that separates us Christians from everyone else is our faith that the God of the Bible is living and impacting our real-time experience. Don't approach life like a secular, humanistic, atheist. Exercise the "G-Factor".
I pray that you and God will slay a giant today. Please pray that for me.
