There is much that we can learn from Old Testament prayers like that of Jabez and David's Psalms. But everything must be kept in context and balanced with the whole counsel of God. Wilkerson's claims illustrate the danger of isolating a text and making it say more than it does. Sure, God "always answers" this prayer and sometimes that answer is NO and one's territory SHRINKS and one does experience trouble and pain (which is often the best thing for us). Secondly, miracles don't happen on a " regular basis"...if they did...they wouldn't be miracles, would they? Thirdly, Jesus warned against praying repetitious formulas. I could go on, but you get the point.
