From the Old Testamentportion of today's One Year Bible reading:
Ezra 1:5
Then God stirred the hearts of the priests and Levites and the leaders of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin to go to Jerusalem to rebuild the
Temple of the Lord
.
Providence is God's non-miraculous provision and rule in our world. It's a good concept with which to familiarize ourselves. God accomplished his will for these exiles to return to Jerusalem when he providentially "stirred the hearts" of the people. When God "stirs" things start shaken.
I pray that God will stir your heart today. Please pray that for me.
