Acts 18:25-26
"Apollos had been taught the way of the Lord, and he taught others about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and with accuracy. However, he knew only about John's baptism. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately."
Apollos was an eloquent, educated and effective speaker...but his understanding of baptism was incomplete. I think that Priscilla and Aquila'sTACT in filling in the gaps of his knowledge contributed to his receptivity to their correction (note how they "took him aside"). Their gentleness and humility, as well as their willingness to confront, kept a valuable soldier in the service of the king.
I pray that today you will show Christ-like respect to those who differ. Please pray that for me.
