Isaiah 3:6-7
In those days a man will say to his brother, "Since you have a coat, you be our leader! Take charge of this heap of ruins!" But he will reply, "No! I can't help.
I don't have any extra food or clothes. Don't put me in charge!"
"Too many chiefs and not enough indians" is a common expression. But that's not the case in my limited experience. I've seen more of the "
leadership deficit" expressed by Isaiah:
"Don't put me in charge!" I've been guilty of that same dodge. Churches, individual ministries, families and businesses flounder due to a lack of people willing to be proactive, initiate, step up and say "Yes, I
CAN help.
Put me in charge." One person who is willing to be responsible and follow through on his commitment will
ALWAYS make a difference.
I pray that today you will accept your call to leadership. Please pray that for me.
