Pelican Island Wildlife Festival - 17th annual

What:
Connecting children and people with nature. An environmental celebration of the anniversary of the creation of the National Wildlife Refuge System and the 150th birthday of President Theodore Roosevelt. Live bird of prey and reptile shows, pontoon boat tours to Pelican Island, over 80 environmental exhibitors, environmental kid's activities, 5K Run, kayak race and tours, live jazz, blues and rock music, food, photography contest, Theodore Roosevelt historical re-enactments and more. Event is free with exception to boat, kayak and 5K run activities. Event proceeds benefit Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge.
