Susan Harvey has Joined Mental Health Association

Kristine Sarkauskas, President and CEO of the Mental Health Association (MHA) in Indian River County, Inc. (a United Way agency), has announced the appointment of Susan Harvey as Finance Manager responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for the organization.

Prior to joining MHA, Ms. Harvey held the position of Controller since 2006 for Indian River Habitat for Humanity. Before moving to Vero Beach from Atlanta, Georgia, she was the Chief Financial Officer for the State Bar of Georgia and before that for Aviation Supply Corporation. Ms. Harvey, who is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia, earned a B.B.A. and graduated Cum Laude from Georgia State University.

"We are very pleased to add someone like Susan to our team," Sarkauskas said. "Susan brings nearly 20 years of financial expertise to the job. Our organization has grown so dramatically over the past several years that it became imperative to have someone of Susan's caliber on board. Filling this position with the right person was mandatory as we continue to grow. Susan will make an immeasurable difference for us."

The Mental Health Association is Indian River County's only nonprofit resource for immediate access to crisis counseling and mental health services, regardless of an individual's ability to pay.
