The staff of Elliot Merrill Community Management Team participated again this year in the United Way Day of Caring. The United Way Day of Caring coordinates with local businesses to provide manpower to complete projects at non-profit agencies that usually can not financially afford labor costs.
This year the team of volunteers from Elliot Merrill Community Management Team was partnered with the Homeless Family Center. The Homeless Family Center provides opportunities for homeless families to end homelessness by achieving self-sufficiency through education, living wages, and permanent housing.
The volunteers painted a fence bordering the west side of the facility, mulched two playgrounds for the 150 children served each year and painted and assembled shelving for the administration building bathroom. The results were gratifying and the staff and clients are truly appreciative to the United Way and Elliot Merrill Community Management Team for making a positive impact in this community.
