dave's celebrates "big 36th" anniversary

dave & sharon whipp moved to vero & opened Dave's sporting goods on 16th st. oct. 1, 1973, then 10 yrs. later moved to us#1
when we opened vero's only dept. stores were wodtke's & woolworths; burger chef & quik snak were the only fast food restaurants; alma lee loy's, waverly book store & loy's mens wear were downtown; howard johnson's motor lodges were oceanside & on us#1; fairlane's was the only sporting goods store; rte 60 was 2 lanes; #95 ended in vero beach; we had the dodgers every spring; there were no enclosed malls & bills tv truly WAS across the street from nowhere.......
thank you vero beach for 36 good years and a great place to raise our family
