Workshop: The Art of the Memoir, 10/25/08

The Vero Beach Museum of Art is pleased to present this one day workshop with Suzanne Fox. If you have been considering writing your personal story, this workshop will help you plan your project. Writing memoir, biography, autobiography, and/or personal history helps us understand our lives and preserve our legacy. This one-day exploration looks at memoir and these related forms through exercises and brief but powerful readings. All class content is designed to benefit both experienced writers and those approaching the writing of their family or personal history for the first time. The $10 materials fee covers the cost of the class workbook, which includes explanations, assignments, and excerpts from published memoirs.

Workshop is held at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, 3001 Riverside Park Drive, Vero Beach, Florida, 32963. Phone Ellyn Giordano at (772) 231-0707 ext. 116 to register. Tuition is $75, Museum members $65. Workshop meets October 25, 2008, 10 am - 4 pm.
