In today's world a preschool education is more vital than ever. Expectations for children's learning achievement now begin at age four with universal prekindergarten programs that are offered in abundance. The days when three or four year olds would spend time playing at a grandma's or a babysitter's home while their parents were at work are definitely over. Today's economy often makes things more difficult. Finances often dictate that both,or at least one, parent work at a second or sometimes a third job, just to make ends meet. The cost of everything continues to go up and child care is one of them. Parents become enmeshed in a vicious cycle of paying for care to make more money, only to have to pay for more care.
Child care centers and home caregivers all have need to provide themselves with adequate income too. Many people wonder however ,are there alternatives to high priced care that don't mean sacrificing quality, and does paying a lot always insure quality?
Affordable preschool education is one answer. Three and early four year old children can obtain a great educational experience at a quality preschool program. Schools like SunCoast Primary School, which may not be open long hours and 365 days a year, provide an opportunity for children to learn, grow, form lasting friendships, and be introduced to a truly wonderful school experience at a cost that is affordable to all.
SunCoast is located in Vero Beach at 3050 43rd Avenue and offers a full day, or a half day program. Those parents who wish to keep their home sitter or family member who cares for their child, can easily do so,allowing their child to attend just a morning preschool program that costs a little more than $75.00 per week. The full time program is just a little more.
SunCoast is affordable because of its non-profitstatus. The teachers are long time employees whose reasons for being at SunCoast include the close-knit atmosphere and theopportunity to be valued as professionals. These teachers are encouraged to excercise their own creativity, and use their considerable expertise. SunCoast's lead teacher has been nominated more than once as Disney Teacher of the year. Here the profit motive that can sometimes creep in to education is completely absent.
While SunCoast participates in free universal programs like VPK, theydo not dominatethecurriculum. Many children are better served beginning at age three (or earlyfour) with a great learning program that capitalizes on their enthusiasm to learn anything and everything without the pressure of testing and evaluation that is a part of tax funded programs. SunCoast consequently has very high scores in VPK assessments but
all
of our studentsshow achievement, and something more, a love of learning, as they continue their education. At SunCoast, that is what is important.
Affordability
and
quality in one program, something necessary and not so easily obtained as one might think. Except at SunCoast, a little gem. Call the office at 778-0892 for more details.
