Contributed by: Cynthia Falardeau on 10/20/2007

There is a buzz in the air. Student scientists throughout Indian River County are preparing for their school science fairs. A select group of winners from each school will be invited to compete at the 16th Annual Indian River Regional Science and Engineering Fair (IRRSEF) on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Gifford Middle School. The IRRSEF is the signature program of the Education Foundation of Indian River County. A basic knowledge and understanding of math and science, as well as, an ability to relate to children are the only requirements to become an elementary judge. Middle and high school judges need to hold a college degree in one of the related science categories or have professional experience working in the field of science research. The Education Foundation is also seeking judges and sponsors for the Indian River Regional Fair. To learn more about supporting the IRRSEF, please call the Education Foundation of Indian River County Office: 564-0034 or email: info@edfoundationirc.org.

The Education Foundation of Indian River County offers educational opportunities to all students and teachers, both public and private through effective fundraising and the efficient allocation of resources. The IRRSEF is funded entirely through private donations and grant assistance.
