CDL Class

In early September students will be able to take a Commercial Drivers License Program with Adult Education. After successful completion, and passing of required testing, students will be able to apply for their CDL. Please call 564-5007 for additional information.

August Life-Enrichment Classes

Adult Education will have a variety of life-enrichment classes available that include Art (watercolor), Cooking, Crochet, Ballroom Dancing (Beginner), Glass Jewelry (Pendant), Italian, Investing Fundamentals, Motorcycle Safety, Precious Metal Clay (Pendant and Broach), Spanish, Digital Camera, Tai Chi, Water Exercise and others. Many of these classes fill up quickly so register now at the Adult Education School office. Classes are beginning this week.

August Computer Classes

Adult Education has a great selection of computer classes beginning this fall. Classes include Introduction, Introduction & Windows XP, Windows Vista, Internet, Microsoft Word, Intermediate Word, Excel, Intermediate Excel, Creating DVD Picture Disc, Producing a Video for the Internet or DVD, Digital Camera, Intermediate Digital Camera, Access, Web Page Design, Publisher, PowerPoint, E-Commerce, Email and EBay. Please visit the Adult Education office to register and ask about our Microsoft Specialist classes.

Accounting and E-Business Program

Adult and Community Education would like to help you achieve your goal if you are interested in the accounting or electronic business field. This 150- hour program is a comprehensive program preparing the student for employment in an office setting by teaching computer skills, understanding of emerging technology, professional standards, and many other required skills. Students will be introduced to a software suite that includes Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and QuickBooks. Students will attend class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 4 and running until Nov. 20 and interested persons can register at the Adult Education School office.

Security Officer G (Armed)

Adult Education will have an Armed Security Officer class that will begin Sept. 8, and run through the 15 th. Students will attend class 6 - 10 p.m., Monday - Friday and one full day at the range. The cost for this class is $158 and interested persons may register now at the Adult School office. An Unarmed Security Officer class will follow in October, please call 564-4970 for additional information.

Evening Culinary Program

Would you like a career that would allow you to work on a cruise ship, a hospital, a local hot spot or a variety of other fun and interesting places? If you answered yes and have always had a love of cooking you may want to consider Adult Education's Culinary Program! Students will attend class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:30 - 8:45 p.m. and alternate Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Class begins Aug. 30, and successful students will leave with the skills and certificates needed to work in the food industry.
