What: Free Books for Indian River County Teachers and Librarians

Where: Saint Edward's Lower School, 2225 Club Drive, Vero Beach, Florida 32963

Each year Saint Edward's School conducts a book-drive to acquire summer reading list books, text books and academic materials from its students. Books collected from this year's drive will be cataloged and made available to all educators throughout Indian River County. Last year more than 6,000 books were distributed.

This year's event takes place on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at the Saint Edward's Lower School cafeteria. Teachers are encouraged to arrive early for best selection.

Indian River County teachers are invited to select books and academic games to start or build their own classroom libraries. There is no cost to attend. Teachers and librarians are welcome to select as many books as they need.

Presently the Education Foundation is accepting nearly new or gently used PreK-12th grade reading books. To make a donation or to learn more about this event, please contact Cynthia or Mary at the Education Foundation at: (772) 564-0034 or by email: info@edfoundationirc.org.
