Evening Culinary Program

Have you always wanted to be a chef? Here is your chance! Students will attend class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:30 - 8:45 p.m. and alternate Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Class begins Aug. 30, and successful students will leave with the skills and certificates needed to work in the food industry. Introduction & Windows Vista

Beginning Sept. 3and ending Oct. 1, students will be able to take an Introduction and Windows Vista class at the Adult Education School. Students will attend class on Mondays and Wednesdays form 5 - 7 p.m. Please call 564-4970 for additional information.

Excel (Intermediate)

Adult Education will offer an Intermediate Excel class from Sept.3 - Oct. 1, students will attend class from 7 - 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. The cost of this 16-hour class is $68.00. A Beginning Excel class will be offered in early October. Please call 564-4970 for dates and times.

Digital Camera/Creating DVD Picture Disc Class

For individuals interested in learning how to create a DVD picture disc, do not miss this opportunity!. Adult Education will offer this class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. beginning Sept. 8 and running through Oct. 1 st. Students will learn how to create a DVD/VCD with pictures, video and voiceovers. Students will also learn to create a slideshow and preserve it on disc. The cost of this 24-hour class is $92.00. Web Page Design Workshop

Adult Education will offer a Web Page Design workshop on Saturday, Sept. 6 th. Students will attend class 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The cost of this one day class is $33.00 and interested persons may register now at the Adult School office. A second Web Page Design class will be held in October on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Oct. 7 - 30, interested students can call 564-4970 for additional information.

Crochet (Basic)

Adult Education will offer an 8-week crochet class running from Sept. 8 - Oct. 27 th. Students will attend class on Monday evenings from 5 - 7 p.m. The cost for this 16-hour class is $58.00. Have a little fun and learn a new skill!

Security Officer G (Armed)

Adult Education will have an Armed Security Officer class that will begin Sept. 8, and run through the 15 th. Students will attend class 6 - 10 p.m., Monday - Friday and one full day at the range. The cost for this class is $158 and interested persons may register now at the Adult School office. An unarmed Security Officer class will follow in October, please call 564-4970 for additional information.

Gift certificates are available. Adult Education, a division of the Indian River County School District, is at 1426 19 th St., downtown Vero Beach.
