Students Celebrate Grandparents' Day, Observe 9/11
Contributed by: Debbie Morgan on 9/25/2009

Friday, September 11th was a day of honor at Master's Academy as students and faculty participated in 9/11 observances and celebrated Grandparents' Day. In honor of 9/11, classes placed small flags at the base of the flagpole and collectively prayed for the President and our nation. In honor of Grandparent's Day, students invited grandparents to visit their classroom to meet their friends and hear firsthand what they will be learning this year. While several teachers conducted class lessons others held activities for them to enjoy together. One third grade class read letters they had written to their grandparents. A pep rally was held to celebrate the Patriots fall sports teams. Grandparents participated in the spirit competition, with the spirit stick being awarded to the 3rd grade classes. To end the celebration, the school joined together in prayer as Headmaster, Dr. Grant Powell prayed for the student athletes in their upcoming season of competition.
