Faith and Friendship Abound at Retreat

Master's Academy Upper School students attended the annual high school retreat at Lake Aurora in Lake Wales, Thursday, September 24 through Friday, September 25. The retreat is an opportunity for classmates to get to know one another through fellowship, team building activities, and devotional time. The students had a great time participating in water activities on the lake and holding chapel that included worship songs and speakers from the upper school administration.
The greatest challenge came when students had to display their trust in one another as they scaled the 30 foot rock climbing wall. For some, this was a test of faith in their friends as well as a personal challenge in accomplishing a great task and facing their fear of heights. This activity, along with fellowship and prayer time, drew students closer together and prepared them to support one another during the upcoming school year.
