New Schedule

Adult and Community Education has just released a new winter schedule. We are happy to offer a large selection of computer classes, life-enrichment class, ESOL and GED classes, as well as career programs. You can pick up a schedule at our office, local libraries or you can view our schedule on the Web at www.indianriverschools.org under the Adult Education School link. Take a look at our schedule; you will be glad you did!

Free GED Classes

Do your dreams involve obtaining your high school diploma? If you answered yes, Adult Education can help. We offer free GED preparation classes. The classes are set up so that students can work at their own pace in a small, comfortable, and quiet setting. GED classes are available at the Adult Education School in Vero, Sebastian River High School and now at our new Simon Mall site (behind Shoe Carnival). Home Health Aide Program

Are you looking to have a new career by the New Year? If you are interested in working as a HHA, Adult Education has the training you need. We will offer a fast-paced HHA class running from Nov. 30 - Dec. 18; students will attend class Monday - Friday from 8:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. The cost for this 100-hour class is $382.00 and students are encouraged to register now as space is limited for this program.

Phlebotomy Program

If you are interested in working as a Phlebotomist or adding it to your skill set and are already in the medical field, Adult Education has the training for you. We will offer a 65-hour class running from Jan. 12 - Feb. 23 rd. Students will attend class on Tuesdays and Thursday from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The cost for this class is $214.00 and students can register now at the Adult Education School office.

Security Officer D (Unarmed)

Adult Education will have an Unarmed Security Officer D class that will begin Jan. 25 and run through Feb. 5 th. Students will attend class 6 - 10 p.m., Monday - Friday for two weeks. The cost for this class is $107.00 and interested persons may register now at the Adult School office. Please call 564-4970 for additional information or visit our office to register.

Gift certificates are available. Adult Education, a division of the Indian River County School District, is at 1426 19 th St., downtown Vero Beach.
