Adult and Community Education is happy to announce the completion of our first Medical Assistant Program. This program is designed for students who are interested in working in the medical field as a Medical Assistant. Students were taught both clerical and clinical aspects of a medical office. For the clerical portion, students learned about patient forms, records, confidentiality, medical office ethics, and insurance billing. For the clinical portion, students participated in and learned the skill of Phlebotomy, CPR, First Aid, EKG, along with other necessary skills.

Adult and Community Education will offer the Medical Assisting Program again in August 2009 and registrations are being accepted now at the Adult Education School office located at 1426 19 th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
