4th Bryce High Memorial Music Scholarship Awarded

A music scholarship of $2,000.00 and a plaque was presented to Michael Herman by Cory High and his parents Wanda and Buddy, at the Vero Beach Performing Arts Center during the band awards ceremony. In the photo are Cory High, Michael Herman, Wanda and Buddy High. Photo taken by Charlie Vitunac.

The High family also presented the Fighting Indians Band Boosters with a $2,000.00 check to help them defray some of their operating costs for the upcoming band season.

The First Annual Bryce High Memorial Music Golf Tournament was held on May 17, 2009 at Sandridge Golf Club to raise monies for the scholarship fund. Thanks to everyone who participated, donated or helped in making it a huge success.
Mark your calendars for the 2nd annual golf tournament May 15, 2010 at Sandridge Golf Club.

The scholarship was established May 2006 Bryce died from an unknown
brain anyursm on March 19, 2006 at the age of ten. The Highs are continuing to keep Bryce's love for music and his memory alive through awarding a few Vero Beach High School Band graduating music major or music minors with a scholarship to help them out with freshman year college expenses.
