The orchestra performs in a variety of locations including The Lyric Theatre in Stuart, the Waxlax Performing Arts Center in Vero Beach. This year the orchestra is scheduled to perform at the Eissey Theatre at Palm Beach Community College for the first time.

The Treasure Coast Youth Symphony is an all volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization and is composed of the most talented student musicians from Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and northern Palm Beach counties. The conductors of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony are Dr. John Enyart (founder), Mr. Ben Enyart and Mr. Thomas Servinsky.

The mission of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony is to provide challenging experiences in orchestral and individual performance for student musicians, to broaden their technical skills and artistic expression, to instill professionalism, and to enhance enjoyment of the musical talents individually and for their audiences.

Members of the orchestra may compete in the annual Concerto Competition. The winner of this competition has the privilege of performing his or her piece with the orchestra during the spring concert season.

The engaging performances and individual virtuosity of the young musicians of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony's 2008-2009 season generated greater excitement and attendance than ever, enabling the orchestra to provide nearly $10,000 in scholarships. The scholarships are used by orchestra members to continue music education during a summer music program or to enter a college level musical curriculum in the fall, to obtain private lessons from professional, or to assist in the purchase of musical instruments.

Over the 23 year history of the orchestra, orchestra alumni have been selected by highly competitive audition to attend major conservatories and university conservatory programs. Students often opt to continue their music studies in college in addition to other academic majors.
