RCT Announces 08-09 Season

Riverside Children's Theatre commemorates the 10th year anniversary of the opening of the Anne Morton Theatre with a season full of offerings geared toward children and families. Local shows are produced in Vero Beach with area youth under the auspices of Riverside artists and educators and professinal shows bring in the best in nationally known youth theatre companies.

The first show of the fall season, "Sideways Stories from Wayside School," is based on the popular children's books by Louis Sachar. The escapades of the quirky teachers and students who populate the 30 story school with no 19th floor, will sure to bring much craziness to the stage. This show runs Sept. 26 through Oct. 5. Other offerings in the local series include "A Little Princess," "Disney's Adaddin, Jr," "The Emperor's New Clothes," and "The Adventures of Peter Rabbit."

MIssoula Children's Theatre returns to RCT with "The Amazing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe" on Dec. 6 and Theatreworks USA presents "Max and Ruby," based on the Nick, Jr. television series on March 28.

Teen Second Stage productions include "The Odd Couple, Female Version," "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)," Teen Cabaret and Comedy Night.
