The Community Church of Vero Beach allocated $10,000 to the Homeless Family Center (HFC) on June 24th.The financial assistance was granted to HFC to continue providing opportunities for homeless families to end homelessness by achieving self-sufficiency through education, living wages, and permanent housing.

Last year over 1700 homeless individuals could not afford safe and adequate shelter on the TreasureCoast. Homeless Family Center provided shelter and transitional housing for 404 people including 194 children. Today, there are 19 families including 34 children and 22 adults living at HFC.

The need to provide services for homeless families is a priority. HFC is appreciative to The Community Church of Vero Beach for recognizing the needs in this community and for making a positive difference in the lives of homeless families.
