To Haiti - With Love

Hurricanes have devasted Haiti's population and landscape this year. Many are homeless and without food or shelter. The needs of the Haitian people are desperate and there is no FEMA for them.

One small congregation in Vero Beach, Premier Christian Church, decided to do what they could to help the hurricane victims and presented a check for $1,000 to Mission Flights International operating out of Fort Pierce, Florida.

Premier Christian Church is a non-denominational, predominately Haitian-cultured, church comprised of less than thirty families. The church was incorporated on September 11, 1996 and has been supported by Vero Christian Church and the Florida Haitian Christian Mission in the past. It is now self-supporting and the elders lead the congregation without any monetary compensation. Emmanuel Ylance is the preaching elder.

Mission Flights International graciously provides transportation of food, clothing, medical supplies and tents for shelter to Haiti and other Caribbean islands. It is a faith-based organization meeting the needs of many of these people in need. More information about Mission Flights International can be obtained at www.missionaryflights.org.

Although the two groups do not share all aspects of each others doctrinal beliefs, they did come together to help those who cannot help themselves.
