Fair Trade Fair Is Eco-Friendly
Contributed by: Joyce Levi on 11/13/2006

Clothing, food and gifts from several Fair Trade organizations from Asia, Africa, and South and Central America may be purchased in the main lobby of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach on Saturday, December 2, from noon-5. The Fair Trade Fair is sponsored by the church's Fair Trade Corner, Green Sanctuary Committee, and Lifetime Religious Exploration Committee.

These are eco-friendly, socially responsible and affordable items for holiday gifts and other buying, with hope and justice accompanying every purchase. Recycled yarn from many countries, including knitting learning kits for children, will be available. Three guest fair trade merchants will also be offering merchandise. International organizations such as A Greater Gift and 10,000 Villages will be represented.

The UU Fellowship is located on the southeast corner of 16th Street and 27th Avenue. For further information, phone 778-5880.
