On a recent Sunday morning at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach, the congregation celebrated the tenth anniversary of the ordination of its minister, the Rev. Gail R. Geisenhainer. Expert needlewoman Maria deGeus Sobkowiak presented her with a pulpit stole that she had designed and created in honor of Rev. Gail and the occasion.
The front of the stole bears the colors of the rainbow; the lining is a print of green palm fronds. Two tiny turtles, representing Vero Beach, are worked into the design.
A reception followed the service. Rev. Geisenhainer has been UUFVB minister since September 2002. The church is located on the southeast corner of 16th Street and 27th Avenue.
