New Beauty at Young Park

The Jasmine Circle of the Garden Club of Indian River County recently entered into a partnership with the City of Vero Beach to plant a new garden around the flagpole area at Young Park. The Circle paid for and installed the new plantings, while the City will continue to maintain the Park grounds
Young Park is located near the Indian River Lagoon, off Park Avenue, in the Vero Isles development. It is a lovely, quiet, serene park overlooking the water. The plants were supplied by Spencer Porteous, owner of "Everything Outdoors", located at 384 Old Dixie Highway in Vero Beach.
As part of Jasmine's Civic Committee responsibilities to beautify Indian River County, members planted iris, lilies (crinum), cardboard palms, variegated arboricolas, and jasmine. Those Circle members were:
