Neither Wind, Nor Rain Keep CityFiter's From Flexing their Muscles...
It seems there are no exceptions to the famous motto when it comes to the members of CityFit
outdoor fitness camp. During the treacherous weather that closed our schools and many of the area businesses last week, CitFiter's were wading through the deep waters to reach dry land at Riverside Park in the hopes of getting their workout in. Even many of the local gyms were closed. "I guess that's one of the benefits of having the workouts outdoors," said Jill Price, owner and founder of CityFit. "I knew our members would be out there waiting for me to show up. They are so enthusiastic about the program." Price says that the reason her camps continue to grow is that people are seeing real results - they feel like their time and money is worthwhile. "One girl lost 15.4 lbs in one month. Another girl can run the bridges now, whereas before she could only run downhill!"
Outdoor fitness programs are shown to give the best bang for your buck in terms of monies spent and results gained. In just one four-week session a person can expect to lose an average of 3-5% body fat, double their strength and stamina, greatly reduce their stress levels and get a better night's sleet! In addition, the effort it takes for the body to self-regulate its temperature during the workout provides better and more efficient performance of its systems overall, including the immune system.
