Did I Hear A Day Off?
Contributed by: Aimi Medina on 4/17/2006

Did I Hear A Day Off?

Multitasked, self-sufficient,

They are all a MUST,

That is why, I write this poem,

As I cook, clean and dust.

I cut the grass,

I weed, I rake,

I clean up after,

Crumbs and cake.

I vacuum, mop,

Get stick off floors,

Wipe greasy fingerprints,

Off all the doors.

The dog throws up,

Just before nine,

I still get the kids,

To school on time.

I run the bases,

In the yard,

Play football, jump rope,

Checkers and cards.

When shoes aren't worn,

And toes are stubbed,

I still put on band-aids,

Give kisses and hugs.

Disagreements, quarrels,

Challenging the rules,

Fed up and tired,

I still keep my cool.

Sounds like complaining,

But my family's really GREAT!

Though, I have to be honest...

I could sure use a break.
