Local businesses and organizations encouraged to help get Vero Beach residents prepared for hurricane season

VERO BEACH, FL (April 30, 2008) - Indian River Mall invites local businesses and organizations to participate in its annual Hurricane Expo on Sat., June 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This free community event will expose the public to valuable information from various agencies that will help prepare them for the upcoming hurricane season.

"With hurricane season quickly approaching, we think this is the perfect time to prepare the community in case of an emergency," said Ursula Gunter, Director of Mall Marketing, Indian River Mall. "We value the well-being of our shoppers, mall staff and area residents, and we feel the expo is a great way to educate them."

Currently, the Florida Department of Financial Services, American Red Cross, United Way, Salvation Army and many more are slated to participate in educating local residents.
