Hurricane Hangar Party Big Success

The 1st annual Free Hurricane Hangar Party was presented by RBC Bank and the North Treasure Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross on May 15 at the Sun Aviation hangar at the Vero Beach Airport. Entertainment was the Landsharks with Gary Rollin, with nearly 1000 in attendance. It also was the premiere pf the premiering the Treasure Coast Photo/Video Booth where folks got a keepsake of the event. "It was such a great success we plan to do it every year to get volunteers and the community ready for hurricane season" said Sarah Ruwe, CEO of the North Treasure Coast Chapter of the American Reed Cross, for which the event will benefit. Beer wine, soft drinks and vendors were also be available. "We had to be ready with funds and volunteers to begin the hurricane season June 1st" Said Ruwe, "and I can't think of a more fun way to do that." The event was also sponsored in part by FPL, Waldos great American Hang Out and Treasure and Space Coast radio stations.
