Earle Beasley, a veteran marketing professional and Vero Beach resident since 1993, has been named as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Lakes at Pointe West, Vero Beach's premiere active, independent-living seniors' community.

Thirty-five years ago, Beasley founded The Alexander Group, an advertising/public relations company that served major clients on three continents. In this role, he helped many successful companies create and implement winning strategies to penetrate local, national, and international markets.

After a two-year sailing sabbatical in the Caribbean, Earle settled in Florida and resumed marketing consulting. In addition, he established an affiliation with Norris & Company Real Estate, where he markets high-end residential and commercial real estate properties.

"We are pleased to have Earle on our team," states Kay A. Moran, Executive Director of The Lakes at Pointe West. "He brings a wealth of experience to the table as well as the innovative resourcefulness that will assure our continued growth for many years to come."

Earle is Past President of the Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America which serves more that 30,000 youth and adults in 7 counties of Southeastern Florida. He is active on Scouting's Regional Board and belongs to Advisory Board of the scouts in Raleigh, NC.

Earle was a Founding Board Member for the Boys & Girls Club of Indian River County. Plus, he has served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Indian River County and as a Board Member and Officer for the Vero Beach Theatre Guild.

A Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow, he is also a recipient of Scouting's Silver Beaver Award, the James E. West Fellowship Award, and the Heritage Society. He is a member of two yacht clubs (a past commodore) and a founding member of the Triangle Chapter of the American Marketing Association. He holds a US Coast Guard Captain's License with auxiliary sailing endorsement.

Earle received a BA degree in Political Science from East Carolina University with Minors in English and Economics.

His son, Bill, a 1990 graduate of Duke University's School of Engineering, is founder and Executive Director of a North Carolina based non-profit that promotes green building practices for residential homes. Earle has two grandchildren.
