Arbors Appoints Chastain as Director of Marketing

Senior Living Communities is pleased to announce that Deborah Scattergood Chastain recently joined The Arbors at The Lakes at Pointe West as Director of Healthcare Marketing. A native of Vero Beach, Debbie returned to her hometown in 1988. Most recently, she has been the marketing director in the senior living industry and previously was a top producer in real estate sales.

Debbie received her education in the Carolinas and Virginia and has two master's degrees, one in education of the deaf from Smith College in Northampton, MA and the other in Guidance Counseling from Clemson University in Clemson, SC.

After establishing a pre-school program for deaf children in the Vero Beach area, she had a career in New York City with Chemical Bank and was an active volunteer in a number of organizations in the City including Cancer Care, Inc. before returning to Vero Beach.

Debbie has been active in the community and was co-founder and past president of the Junior League of Indian River. She volunteers for the Alzheimer/Parkinson Association and Saint Edward's Parents' Association and is on the board of the local unit of the American Cancer Society. She is also active in her church and sings in the choir. Additionally, Debbie is an Ambassador for the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce. She currently holds an active real estate broker's license and has a certification for assisted living administrator.

Debbie and her husband, Dan, have a daughter, Marguerite who will graduate from Saint Edward's in spring and plans to pursue a career in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
