John and Margaret (Peggy) Pitta, of Vero Beach are recovering from whirlwind wedding whiplash!! Every couple of weeks they jetted north as four of their seven children wed in the past seven months. Two of their sons, Tom (and Stephanie) and Mike (and Rebecca) exchanged wedding vows within weeks of each other four years ago this month. With the four others marrying in the past few months, just the youngest, Tim, remains in the single column!

On January 6 th Mary Elizabeth, of New York City, married Jonathan Adelson, son of Karen and Bob Adelson of Lexington, Massachusetts. Their wedding and reception were held at OHEKACastle, Cold Spring Hills, New York, where guests treated to a sunny, unseasonably warm winter day. Mary Beth, a financial consultantfor an international firm in New York., graduated C.W. Post (LIU) and received a law degree from Touro College, New York. Jonathan, a senior director in the federal tax practice division at Alvarez and Marsal graduated IthacaCollege, has a law degree from New England School of Law and received a master's degree in tax law from BostonUniversity. The couplelive and work in New York City and are expecting a child in November.

On March 8 th in WashingtonD.C., John Thomas, of Vero Beach, married Amy Christine Test, daughter of Jay and Jan Test of Alexandria, Virginia, at St Aloysius Catholic Church followed by a reception at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. John, a Lieutenant Commander USN, an F-18 pilot, is presently assigned to the Joint Chiefs Staff in the Pentagon. John graduated the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point. Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from University of Southern California and is presently pursuing her doctorate in psychology. They reside in Alexandria, Virginia with Molly, their golden retriever.

Next! On May 30 th, Margaret Kathryn, of New York City, wed Patrick Daniel Bane, son of Donald and Patricia Bane of Croton-on-Hudson, New York. The marriage and reception were at OHEKACastle, Cold Spring Hills, New York. The following day they exchanged vows in the Lady's Chapel at St. Patrick's Cathedral, New York City. Margaret graduated Summa Cum Laude from State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. in Business Administration and is beginning her M.B.A. in the Class of 2010 at HarvardBusinessSchool. Patrick graduated LoyolaCollege with a Bachelors of Business and served in Germany as a Captain in the United States Army and is Ranger Qualified. Patrick sells medical devices for Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a company of Johnson and Johnson. The couple presently lives and works in New York City but will be moving to Boston.

The fourth wedding was held July 18th. William (Bill) Christopher, of New York City, married Brooke Lynn Coughlin, daughter of Brian and Linda Coughlin of Bay Shore, Long Island. They were married in St. Patrick's of Bay Shore and the reception was at The Bourne Mansion in Oakdale, Long Island. Like his younger sister, Bill graduated StateUniversity at Albany. Brooke, a classmate of Margaret's, also graduated StateUniversity at Albany, Summa Cum Laude, and has her Master's Degree in Special Education from C. W. Post (LIU), Summa Cum Laude. Bill was formerly a Vero Beach Police Officer and volunteered as an assistant coach for the Vero Beach High School Girl's Lacrosse Team. He is now a New York City Fireman, stationed at Engine 22. Brooke teaches Special Education Classes in the New York City School System. The couple resides in New York City.

John and Peggy, full time residents of Vero Beach, are always excited to be involved with their children but cannot honestly say they dreamt so many weddings would happen all at once. It proved to be quite a conversation starter for the last few months.
