The HEART OF A SOLDIER is fragile. They've been taught to fight without question. They're separated from their families. They endure the hardships of the elements, and all of this without complaint.
The Holidays are past, the hustle bustle is over and along with this comes a let down by our Soldiers. Our Soldiers are so Thankful for everything little thing they get, especially the support from the People of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! But, after receiving so many boxes and support during the Holidays, in comparison, suddenly the mail stops to our Troops. It is very common that they feel a huge let down afterwards. So for Valentine's Day, let our Troops know we still remember them and are still supporting them - LOVE A SOLDIER FOR VALENTINE'S.
You can do this yourself by going to
http://www.anysoldier.com
and finding a name to send a Valentine's Card. The names you'll find on this website are contact points. They will be sure the cards are handed out to a Soldier that doesn't receive mail.
We encourage you to write a letter, add some pictures, make it personal. Write like you're talking to a friend. Let the Soldiers become engrossed into your life. They want to feel a part of something different than what they're facing over there. Encourage them. Let them know how proud you are of them. GIVE FROM YOUR HEART! THE MOST REQUESTED ITEM IS A LETTER.
If you prefer, you can also bring a Card and or a Letter to the Eye Clinic of Vero & Optical Boutique at 632 21st Street, Vero Beach, FL (located in Miracle Mile Plaza next to Hallmark Cards Store). The Eye Clinic of Vero will get all Cards and Letters mailed in time for Valentines Day.
The last day for collection of Cards and Letters would be Thursday January 31st, 2008. Mailing will be February 1st, 2008.
The Military Mom's Prayer Group of Vero Beach Florida welcomes any support of our Troops. If you have questions or ideas to help, you are welcome to call 567-6513.
GOD BLESS OUR MEN AND WOMEN FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM!
