I spent some time walking Memorial Island the other day taking pictures because I can. Wasn't really thinking about our present soldiers but I did think about our past soldiers. My father was a Paratrooper and my mother was a Marine. They have both passed.
My brother is a Major, retired last month, still living, 30 years in the Army. My brothers daughter is a Marine, since 17 years old. She is now 21 and in country with her husband, who is also a Marine. I think he is 22.
I received this from a family member who is the mother of the soldier (her son) who is in country. This soldier is married to my niece who I understand is also in country. I don't think it's asking much so I thought I would send it out to you. They aren't from Vero but they are our people in the military serving. Send him a postcard, if you can. He would like that.
Thanks,
Bob S of Vero Beach
Buddy left late Sunday 2-24 from California. Arrived
in Kuwait yesterday sometime. Called at 5am today and
is in Iraq. Will try to get a message out once a week
when possible.
Asked for prayer for his BTN.
Okay here is his address...
Cpl Gamez, Christopher J.
1st Supply BTN
MP CO (company) 2nd PLT
Unit 42165
FPOAP 96426-2165
Please ask who ever you send this on to to please keep
him in their thoughts and prayers. Packages are
welcome. He is not in the most convenient of
places.
Love you, give babies kisses. Mom
