Memorial Island, Memorial Day 2008

What a beautiful day for a wonderful tribute to Veterans of every conflict. Today, we gave our prayers and acknowledgements to the Gold Star Mothers and Families. The Veterans Council pays tribute to different groups each year, and this was the one that brought tears to everyone's eyes.

The music by the high school band, and the singers from the police force, gave powerful renditions of patriotic songs.

Vero Beach is blessed to have such wonderful, caring people. If you missed this year's ceremonies, be sure to attend next year.
