Vero Beach Veterans, Inc. Memorial Day Ceremony
Contributed by: Sandy Rick on 6/23/2008

The Vero Beach Veterans, Inc. (VBV) started their Memorial Day at Memorial Island. They were represented at the ceremonies by their Color Guard, Jerry Meaglan, Mike Duprey, and Vince Rick.

The VBV's Memorial Day Ceremony at 2500 15th Avenue, was a very meaningful event attended by many. Guest speakers, Deputy Kramer of the IRC Sheriffs Office, Captain Loar of the FHP, and Mr Bob Solari, were a cut above. Thanks go out to them for a job well done.
To honor law enforcement agencies, was a tribute to what the VBV represents. They are proud to salute them. A garden bench was placed in dedication to fallen law enforcement officers.
The VBV is also very proud to have raised $1,000 for the Veteran's Council to use toward their Veteran's Transportation Fund.

There was a buffet and music for all to enjoy all afternoon.
