Safe Sugar Free Halloween Treat that Kids Love

The day of the caramel apple and popcorn ball have fallen to the wayside. We live in a time where children can no longer go house to house or haunt places they don't know on Halloween night. The fears caused by questionable candy and other dangers have put a damper on the fall holiday and forced people to seek creative alternatives to the traditional celebrations.

Troubled by this dilemma one spooky Halloween many years ago "Capt." Joel Kilmer was trying to decide what could he give kids for Halloween that was not likely to harm and might even prove beneficial? The answer was only natural and turned out to be all around him. Thus for the past 20 years he has been giving the little ghouls and ghosts of Saint Lucie County the ultimate in Halloween treats, Comic books!

Many people have asked "Why give comic books?" and "Capt." Joel's response is always "They are popular with the kids, safe and educational. Parents don't have to worry about hidden surprises and kids have fun reading. Who knows, they just might learn something in the bargain". For less than the price of a candy bar, you can give those little tricksters that haunt you a treat that will entertain as well as educate.

Stop by Big Dog Comics anytime between now and "all hallows eve" to pick up some of our Howl-o-ween Comic Treat packs to hand out to the tricksters at the door of your crypt. And if you find yourself and your own little tricksters out and about on Saturday, October 28th stop by the store between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM where any child in costume will receive a free comic book and who knows, there may be a few other tricks and treats to be found.
