More than 50 colleges and universities visit Indian River County
to educate and recruit local students

VERO BEACH, FL (August 29, 2008) - Indian River Mall, Vero Beach's premier shopping destination, invites local students to participate in its College Night on Tues., Sept. 9 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.High school students are encouraged to come out and meet representatives from local, statewide and national colleges, universities and technical schools to learn about the opportunities each institution has to offer.

"College Night is a great way to expose our local youth to the various post secondary institutions available to them," said Ursula Gunter, director of mall marketing, Indian River Mall. "This is a chance for high school students to start thinking about which schools they are interested in attending, and get more in-depth information on admission requirements, program offerings and more."

Participating institutions include University of Miami, University of Florida, University of Notre Dame, Florida State University, Stetson University, Florida A&M University, Indian River State College, Johnson & Wales University, Full Sail University, Salem College, Mercer University, United States Military Academy - West Point, New World School of the Arts, Florida Institute of Technology, Florida Gulf Coast University, Bethune-Cookman University, Flight Safety Academy and many more.

Dollars for Scholars of Indian River County, Inc. will also be on hand to educate students on the various scholarship opportunities available to local students.
