The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County (HSVB & IRC) has published If You Go, They Go!, a new brochure on disaster preparedness for pet owners.

The brochure covers topics including pet identification, determining if you and your pets live in a surge zone, pet supplies needed if someone must evacuate with their pet and how to create a pet first aid kit.

The brochure can be obtained free of charge at the Humane Society, located at 6230 77th Street, Vero Beach, by calling the shelter at (772) 388-3331 ext. 18 or visiting the Humane Society's booth at the Indian River Mall's Hurricane Expo this Saturday, June 7th from 10:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
