The Vero Beach Christian Business Association donated $14,000 to local Christian charities at its December 21st luncheon held at Carrabba's in Vero Beach. The funds represent surplus monies remaining at the end of the calendar year from membership dues and donations. The following local Christian ministries were each presented with checks with the monies designated for specific needs within that organization: CareNet, Crosslife International, Kingdom Harvest, The Source, Teen Challenge, The Women's Refuge and Youth for Christ.
Over the past three years, VBCBA has donated over $32,000 to local charities. Applications are submitted by the nonprofit organizations and are then reviewed by a Missions Board which follows a strict criteria in determining where the funds should be dispersed, to meet the greatest local need.
